COVID-19 Testing at Leeds Bradford Airport

COVID-19 testing:

If you are travelling abroad, some countries now require a negative COVID-19 swab test and ‘Fit To Fly’ certificate to prove that you do not have the virus prior to travelling.

We also provide ‘General PCR Testing’ (which you can book using the Fit to Fly option) for non-travel reasons to support businesses in the local community.

You can pre-book your ‘Fit To Fly’, ‘Rapid Antigen’ or ‘Test to Release’ below, but first there are a few more things you might like to know:

  • The testing centre for PCR Fit to Fly, General PCR, and Test to Release is in the Viking Airport Parking Building at Leeds Bradford Airport
  • For Rapid Antigen testing, the facility is located in the main terminal building next to Check In Hall A (available in March)
  • You must bring your passport to your appointment
  • For PCR Fit to Fly and PCR Test to Release, parking is FREE
  • There will be friendly airport staff on hand to help
  • PCR test costs £110 per person and results are provided by email within 48 hours of the test date and time
  • Rapid Antigen test costs £60 per person and results will be emailed to you within 1 hour after your appointment time
  • Test to Release test costs £110 per person and results are provided by email within 48 hours of the test date and time
  • Qualified clinicians carry out the test
  • Tests are analysed in our quality approved laboratory (PCR only)

Important information

Arriving in the UK from abroad:

NPH Group will be offering people entering the UK from abroad, who are self isolating at home (those not travelling from countries on the red list) additional PCR tests;

  • Day 5 Test to Release – which will allow people to release themselves from quarantine after 5 days – providing they have a negative test result.
  • Day 2 and Day 8 Testing (coming soon) – It is expected that people will be able to leave isolation to attend the test centre for a PCR test or will be able to obtain a travel pack for home testing.

*Please note – NPH Group will not be supporting hotels with tests for guests.

Rapid antigen testing:

This currently applies to the Netherlands only and will be available in March.

As well as a PCR Fit to Fly test, people travelling to the Netherlands from the UK or Ireland, must provide proof that they have tested negative for COVID-19 following a rapid test three hours before flight departure time.

To allow for a Rapid Antigen appointment, travellers should add at least one hour onto their travel time.

Rapid Antigen appointments are only available to people who have a booked flight to the Netherlands. Passengers must have their boarding pass and passport available.

Travellers going to the Netherlands must provide a signed negative test certificate showing:

  • A negative result from a Rapid Antigen test
  • A negative result from a PCR test

A negative test result is not a substitute for self-quarantine. People with a negative test result should still self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival in the Netherlands.

Test to release:

We now provide the new ‘Test to Release’ scheme for people who want to exit self-isolation on arrival in England, after 5 days.

NPH Group is a Government approved provider of this service.

This scheme allows passengers arriving into the UK from a destination that does not have a Travel Corridor to take a test after 5 days, and if negative, be released from the 10 day quarantine restriction.

Please do not book a ‘Fit To Fly’ as a ‘Test To Release’ as this cannot be accepted by the authorities.

Book appointment(s):

As well as booking a PCR for Fit to Fly, you can also book a General PCR test by using the Fit to Fly option.

Please take special care when booking your test date and time.
*It is your responsibility to book the correct date and time of your appointment, so please check with your airline for specific requirements.
