Here comes the Sun

We promise to keep you all updated through our newsletter.

We have been lucky to catch the first rays of sun in 2019 with a few Spring-like days coming early in February. 2018 feels like a distant memory with 2019 bringing some stimulating opportunities and compelling developments for everyone connected with Newcastle Premier Health.

We welcome you all to take 5-minutes to read more about our recent activity as well as our recent blog post about workers suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety.

Health & Wellbeing Group

In partnership with Ward Hadaway and Wellbeing Works, we co-presented the first ‘Health & Wellbeing Group’ event. With over 70 guests in attendance, guest speakers Calsonic Kansei and Manchester Metropolitan University helped to stimulate a lot of conversation about experiences of implementing a health and wellbeing strategy. This was a well-received event and we look forward to seeing you all again at future events!

Storytelling Skills Workshop

As much as we look forward to Spring, this Winter has brought us some interesting events. We had the privilege of attending the ‘Storytelling Skills’ workshop organised by NEPIC – with Duncan Yellowlees delivering a masterclass on presentation skills.

Fight Work-Related Stress

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published annual statistics on work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2017/18. According to the HSE, 595,000 workers suffer from work-related stress, depression or anxiety, resulting in 15.4 million working days lost due to this cause! The report further states that work-related stress, depression or anxiety accounts for 44% of work-related ill health and 57% of working days lost in 2017/18.

The HSE report also identifies the main cause for this condition and the good news is – our services are designed to help businesses manage work-related stress. To find out the main cause of work-related stress, depression or anxiety and see how we can help, please read our latest blog post.
